How Daily Loss Is Calculated — Critical Detail
Amadeux calculates daily loss from the opening balance — not from the highest equity point reached during the day.
Example: Account balance €100,000, daily loss limit 5% = €5,000. At any point during the day, your account (floating + closed) must not drop below €95,000. Even if your account temporarily reaches €103,000 during the day, the daily loss limit remains based on the €100,000 opening balance — not €103,000.
This is explicitly different from most prop firms which calculate daily loss from the equity peak — a policy Amadeux publicly criticizes as unfair to traders.
How Maximum Loss Is Calculated — Static, Not Trailing
The maximum loss limit is fixed at a percentage of the initial account balance and never moves upward.
Example: Account balance €100,000, max loss 10% = limit at €90,000. Even if your account grows to €105,000, the maximum loss limit stays at €90,000. With a balance of €105,000, your actual trading margin is €15,000.
This means profitable trading increases your effective risk buffer — another explicitly trader-friendly design choice.
