To succeed with FuturesElite, you must understand the specific rules that govern futures funding. These differ significantly from Forex prop firms.

The Consistency Rule

This rule exists to prevent gambling (lucky one-shot trades). It usually applies to the funded account.

  • The 30% Rule: No single trading day can account for more than 30% of your total profit at the time of withdrawal request.

    Example: If you want to withdraw $2,000 profit, your best day cannot be more than $600. If it is, you must keep trading to dilute that day’s percentage.

Scaling Plan (Contract Limits)

Even if you have a $50k account, you cannot trade 10 contracts on day one of being funded.

  • Scaling Zone: You typically start with 2 contracts. As you build profit (e.g., +$1,500), you unlock more contracts.
  • Full Size: Once you build a sufficient buffer (usually equal to the drawdown amount), you can trade the full account size.

Trading Hours & Restrictions

  • Flat by Close: You must close all positions 10 minutes before the market close (approx 4:50 PM ET). Holding overnight is strictly prohibited.
  • News Trading: Allowed. You can trade through news, but be aware that volatility can trigger stops.
  • Algorithmic Trading: Allowed. Bots are welcome.
