FundingPips Rules & Trading Conditions

Rules shown here are a simplified overview of publicly available conditions. Exact enforcement and calculations may vary by account type and are defined by the prop firm.

FundingPips prides itself on having simple, transparent rules. There are no hidden “consistency rules” or “lot size limits” that disqualify you after you pass. However, the risk rules are strict and automated.

Risk Management Rules

These are the hard rules. Hitting these limits will result in a lost account.

• Daily Loss Limit (5%): This is the most important rule. It is calculated based on the higher value of your Balance or Equity at the daily reset (00:00 CET/Server Time).Example: If you have a $100,000 account and make $2,000 profit (Equity is $102,000) but don’t close the trades, your daily loss limit for the next day is calculated from $102,000.
• Maximum Trailing Drawdown (10%): The max loss trails your highest recorded equity.Mechanism: On a $100k account, the hard breach level starts at $90k. If you go up to $105k, your breach level moves up to $95k. It stops trailing once it reaches the initial balance ($100k).

Trading Strategy Restrictions

• News Trading: Allowed. You can execute trades 2 minutes before or after red-folder news without restrictions on all accounts.
• Weekend Holding: Allowed. You can hold positions over the weekend (great for Swing traders). Swap fees apply.
• Expert Advisors (EAs): Allowed. You can use commercial EAs, custom bots, and scripts.
• Stop Loss: Not mandatory for every trade, but highly recommended to avoid slippage breaching your daily limit.

Prohibited Practices

To ensure fairness, the following are strictly banned:

• Tick Scalping / HFT: High-frequency trading strategies that exploit server latency.
• Arbitrage: Latency or hedge arbitrage.
• Account Management: You must trade your own account. Third-party trading is not allowed.
• Group Trading: Taking the exact same trades as a large group of other users at the exact same time.
